August Bellydance Fitness Classes  

SharQuí Workout: Our signature high-energy bellydance workout.

SharQuí Core: This class focuses on bellydance movements that work the abdominals and back while getting a cardio workout.

SharQuí HIIT: Move back and forth between intense bellydance moves and weight training.

SharQui Party: It’s a different themed class every week with Laylianah

SharQui’s Dance Strong: Multi-dimensional, high intensity moves using the resistance of your own body. Train for strength and stamina without sacrificing artistry.

August Weekly Special Topic Classes

Show Up Strong with Marisa: A 4-week class that dives into building community, sisterhood, and stronger personal presence to help you perform optimally and highly functioning. Upon sign up you will receive an introduction and the first week’s lesson. Zoom sessions will include group sharing and discussion.

RAQ THE BARRE®️ with Eva: Condition and tone your entire body from top to toe, with a body weight only barre training method designed to increase core strength and improve hip and joint mobility and stability with each layered barre progression! Enhance your dancer muscles and bring beauty & balance to your body!

Ballet Cross Training for Bellydance with Jill: Graceful arms, strong feet, elongated legs…this class delves into the core technique principals of ballet and how to safely incorporate them into your bellydancing.

Intermediate Veil Technique: Rhythm and the Veil with Laylianah: The veil is typically considered a very melodic prop. In this class, Laylianah will teach you veil combos that accent specific Middle Eastern rhythms and show you the veil is a more versatile prop than you may think.

Dancing to Middle Eastern Rhythms with Laylianah:
Saturday, August 15th, 4pm
Acknowledgement of the rhythm in the music is essential to advancing as a dancer. It shows your audience that you are fully in tune with the music, and gives your dance variety and interest. In this workshop, you will learn the difference between rhythm and beat. Laylianah will show you how to use some of her signature SharQui combos to accent various Middle Eastern rhythms, and share the secret of how to make acknowledging rhythms in music easy!

Ballet/Modern Styled Bellydance Choreography with Jill

Nourish Your Evolution: Fresh Approaches to Nutrition
Sunday, August 30th, 4:00pm
In this workshop, registered holistic dietitian Delilah Biases shares her natural approach to nutrition for women ages 40-60. Holistic nutrition is a great tool to help us get more in touch with our body’s needs so that this time of life can feel more like smooth sailing and less like a bumpy ride. Nutrition is so much more than what we put on our plate, it’s also about how we show up to the plate. During this hour we’ll go over tips for healthy and mindful eating to create total body wellness from the inside out.
