The exciting Cha-Cha-Cha steps Angel will teach in this workshop is a quick head start for a handful of steps which will be utilized in Angel’s inter/adv “Cha-Cha-Cha-Bellydance Fusion” class coming up on July 10th. This open level 60 and beginner friendly, but also a great door opener for intermediate and/or advanced bellydancers who are seeking versatility and/ or inspiration for new movements!

Intro to Bellydance Workshop with Elisa

Mejeance is a piece of bellydance music used specifically for a dancer’s entrance. It highlights the dancer’s strengths and provides a “preview” of the show sections to come. The Mejeance has a structure consisting of an Overture, EntranceHip Drop section, Folkloric section, Wow Moment or Drum and Finale/exit. Each section has it’s own attitude and technique and Sharon is the expert to learn from. Her secrets and tips are sure to give the best mejeance performance ever.  For the intermediate to pro dancer. 

Dancehall & Bellydance Fusion Choreography with Delilah

Dancehall is a genre of upbeat Jamaican Pop music, which has a lot of popularity in the US as well (remember Shaggy? Sean Paul?). It’s an expressive dance style that celebrates a person’s individuality the same way that belly dance does. The two dance styles make for a fun fusion as each style highlights a different personality within the dancer. Join in to learn a fun, fusion routine!

Yemenite Fusion with Oreet

Thursday 6/24 from 7:45-8:45 pm EST

There are so many new sounds coming up these days from the Middle East and North Africa.  In this workshop, Oreet will going back to her Jewish Yemeni roots and teach a super fun choreography – her way! This “funktified” choreo is based on traditional yemenite dance moves fused with modern moves of today. This workshop is a great way for you to experience people of origin making their dance new and fresh. The choreo will be done to an original song co-created by Oreet called Shakshuka. This is for ALL levels and especially for those who want some more inspiration for their dance.

A Virtual Studio Membership is required to participate in these classes.

SharQui Workout: Our traditional high-energy bellydance workout.

SharQui Veil: A traditional SharQui Workout infused with safe veil technique. Enhance your workout from the added upper body toning. Veil is optional as options for students without veils will be provided. Beginner friendly.

SharQui Workout Level 2: Our traditional high-energy bellydance workout but kick up a notch with more intricate moves.

SharQui Technique:   This is a slightly slower paced class than regular SharQui and is ideal for anyone who wants to learn, drill, and get feedback to refine intermediate bellydance technique. (Can run up to 45 minutes). 

SharQui Styles: Our traditional high-energy bellydance workout but fused with an inspiration of another dance genre. Each week will be a new dance style fusion.

Dance Strong: Using intense bellydance moves to increase stamina and strength. The use of a chair and light hand weights are used.

Flexibility for Bellydance Technique: Unlock your joints and mobilize your muscles toward better freer and pain-free dancing. Build the flexibility and strength needed to support high-level dance technique.

SharQui Core: This cross training class combines light weights and Pilates mat exercises with bellydance movements, all focused on strengthening the abdominals and back for SharQui.

Crash Choreo: Learn a 1-2 minute choreography that gets your heart rate up.

SharQui Cardio Core: This class incorporates traditional SharQui Workout combos with a 10-minute ab workout that is designed especially for belly dancers.

SharQui Workout Party: It’s a different themed dance party every week with Laylianah. Dance your worries away in this improv-based, stress-busting workout.
