Oreet, the creator of SharQuí – The Bellydance Workout, has over 20 years of experience in fitness and dance. She grew up with Yemeni folk and Oriental dance and has a degree in Contemporary Dance from SUNY College at Brockport.
During her professional dance career, Oreet has been crowned Bellydancer of the Year as well Middle Eastern Dance Champion of North America. She’s led packed classes worldwide and has worked with thousands of men and women to realize their fitness potential.

During the workouts, we’ll break down seemingly complex movements into their very basic elements, then drill these repeatedly until they’re second nature.

Most learn at home programs aren’t effective because there’s little to no STRUCTURE and ACCOUNTABILITY. When you’re suddenly given a library of pre-recorded videos with no guidance, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and fall off the bandwagon. Even if you do stick with the program, your favorite videos can get old quickly.
In SharQui’s virtual studio, you take live classes that change every day. When you join our classes via Zoom, you’ll interact with and grow closer to the instructors and your fellow students. You’ll support each other as you progress on your fitness and dance journeys.

Virtual studio classes may change each month due to popular demand. As a studio member, you’ll have a direct impact on what we offer (and we’re always open to suggestions!).
All classes are just 30 minutes long, so you won’t be adjusting your entire schedule to accommodate marathon workouts. You’ll burn up to 300 calories before you know it!

Not at all! In fact, SharQui works in tandem with your bellydance technique classes, helping you improve your stamina and precision. By drilling bellydance moves in a fitness format, they become second nature. Our SharQui instructors are primarily bellydance professionals, many who are performing professionally at restaurants, events, and shows. They bring their expert knowledge of performance and technique to every class they teach, for your benefit.
As a dancer with some experience, you might particularly enjoy our SharQui Workout Level 2 or Dance Strong classes (both offered multiple times a week and included in your pass).
All classes are held via Zoom, allowing for a two way video feed between you and the instructor (although you can always turn your camera off if you want). During the class, instructors will provide feedback and encouragement in real time. If you’re looking for more one-on-one feedback, a la carte small group coaching is also available.
