March Bellydance Fitness Classes

SharQui Workout: Our traditional high-energy bellydance workout.

SharQui Workout Level 2: Our traditional high-energy bellydance workout but kick up a notch with more intricate moves.

SharQui Technique: A slightly slower-paced SharQui workout that dives deep into fundamental dance technique. Ideal for beginners and anyone serious about mastering the core movements of bellydance. 

SharQui Styles: Our traditional high-energy bellydance workout but fused with an inspiration of another dance genre. Each week will be a new dance style fusion.

SharQui HIIT: Move back and forth between intense bellydance moves and weight training.

Flexibility for Bellydance Technique: Unlock your joints and mobilize your muscles toward better freer and pain-free dancing. Build the flexibility and strength needed to support high-level dance technique.

SharQui Core: This cross training class combines light weights and Pilates mat exercises with bellydance movements, all focused on strengthening the abdominals and back for SharQui.

Crash Choreo: Learn a 1-2 minute choreography that gets your heart rate up.

SharQui Cardio Core: This class incorporates traditional SharQui Workout combos with an a 10-minute ab workout that is designed especially for belly dancers.

SharQui Workout Party: It’s a different themed dance party every week with Laylianah. Dance your worries away in this improv-based, stress-busting workout.

March Intensives & Special Topic Classes

Performance Coaching with Oreet
Mondays at 11:00am EST on 3/1, 3/8, 3/15 & 3/22

In this intensive we will be work on choreography ideas and performance skills to enhance your dance. By the 4th week you will have a 1-minute minimum routine choreographed that you feel great about!
$25 for Fitness Pass holders, $45 for non-pass holders

Zills n’ Rhythm with Oreet
Tuesdays at 11:00am EST on 3/2, 3/19, 3/16, & 3/23

In this intensive you will learn a minimum of 3 rhythms and sounds. By the end of the intensive you will be able to play the rhythms in sequence.
$25 for Fitness Pass holders, $45 for non-pass holders

March Workshops

Captivating Combos with Jessica
Saturday, March 6th at 1:00-2:00pm EST

In this workshop Jessica will break down and review technique from the February intermediate classes. We will put the technique into combinations and then dance a short choreography. This workshop is perfect for people who have taken the intermediate class in February and want to polish and add style. It’s also great for anyone who wants to add new technique and combinations to their intermediate bellydance repertoire.                                                                                                      $7 for Fitness Pass holders, $17 for non-pass holders

Yoga for Bellydancers with Helaine
Sunday, March 7th at 1:00-2:00pm EST

Have you ever wished for a stronger core, effortless floor work, easy level changes, or having a more commanding presence? In this workshop, we will be practicing yoga specifically for belly dancers. Through specific poses, we will combine the strengthening qualities of yoga with belly dance moves. Want easy level changes? How about practicing Malasana? Would you like effortless floor work? Let’s start with Vasisthasana! Do you want to fight off performance anxiety? Try Pranayama! I will take you through a dynamic, challenging and fun practice where we connect the dots between yoga and belly dance. All levels welcome. All poses can be modified.                                                     $7 for Fitness Pass holders, $17 for non-pass holders

Saidi Cane with Jill
Monday, March 8th at 6:00-6:50pm EST

Grab your cane and let’s go to Upper Egypt! Learn Saidi stylization, along with Assaya (cane) tricks and technique in a choreography to Derwood Green by Phil Thornton & Hossam Ramzy.                                                                                                            $7 for Fitness Pass holders, $17 for non-pass holders

Egyptian Shaabi – Vintage to Modern                                                  Saturday, March 27th at 1:00-2:45pm EST

In this workshop Sharon will be teaching 2 different Shaabi combinations – a vintage and a more modern combo. Two different energies, two different feelings, yet both extremely important in bellydance. She will begin with the history of Shaabi dance, how it evolved and the interpretation of both songs. $35
