Spring Shimmy Shake-Up Class Content

30 Minute SharQuí Workouts: Our traditional high-energy bellydance workout that turns graceful bellydance moves that anyone can do with a heart-healthy cardio workout.

30 Minute SharQuí HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training): We move back and forth between intense bursts of bellydance moves and routines combined with weight training. 3-10lb weights suggested or supplement with bottles of water or canned goods.

30 Minute Evening Stretch & Meditation: Ease into and out of your day with a series of stretches that are relaxing and meditative, and will make your joints and muscles feel wonderful.

SharQuí Bootcamp: Just like HIIT but you’ll be using your own body weight for resistance. No weights needed for this class.

SharQui Wake-up: Start your morning with a non-technique focused class to explore dance movement (other than bellydance) with freedom. The focus is on somatic and sensation, to get you dancing “in” your body and without judgement.

SharQui Veil: Round out your upper body strength training by incorporating fundamental veil techniques. 2-3 yards of chiffon, silk or other flowy fabric suggested.

Shimmy Snake Challenge: This class is an aerobic workout while strengthening your upper and lower body. We drill various snake arms for 10 minutes and then shimmy non-stop for 20 minutes while layering upper body moves.

 

Dance Strong Challenge Classes 4/8-4/10
