October Bellydance Fitness Classes

SharQui Workout: Our traditional high-energy bellydance workout.

SharQui HIIT: Move back and forth between intense bellydance moves and weight training.

Stretch, Mobility & Core: Unlock your joints and mobilize your muscles toward better freer and pain-free dancing.

SharQui Core: This class focuses on bellydance that works the abdominals and back with a cardio workout.

Crash Choreo: Learn a 1-2 minute choreography that gets your heart rate up.

SharQui Workout Party: It’s a different themed class every week with Laylianah.

October Intensives & Special Topic Classes

Performance Coaching with Oreet
Mondays at 11:00am EST on 10/5, 10/12, 10/19 & 10/26
In this intensive we will be work on choreography ideas and performance skills to enhance your dance. By the 4th week you will have up to a 1 minute routine choreographed that you feel great about!
$25 for October pass holders, $45 for non-pass holders

Zills n’ Rhythm with Oreet
Tuesdays at 11:00am EST on 10/9, 10/13, 10/20, & 10/27
In this intensive you will learn a minimum of 3 rhythms and sounds. By the end of the intensive you will be able to play the rhythms in sequence.
$25 for October pass holders, $45 for non-pass holders

Greek Bellydance with Jill

Tuesdays at 5:00pm EST on 10/9, 10/13, 10/20, & 10/27

“Opa!” Dive into the rhythms, sensuality and social art of Greek bellydance. We will explore the main rhythm Tsifteteli (known as Chiftetelli in Arabic) and learn some basic Greek folkloric footwork to stylize your Sharqui movement vocabulary. Over the course of 4 weeks, we’ll fuse these elements into combos that will cumulate in a choreography to “Athens By Night” by Neena and Veena.

Drum Solo with Jessica
Thursdays at 5:00pm EST on 10/11, 10/15, 10/22 & 10/29
Drum up some fresh moves with Jessica in this drum solo intensive. We will focus on a short choreography and conditioning for stamina and precision. At the end of this 4 week intensive you will learn a drum solo choreography.

How To Count, Cue & Breakdown with Oreet
Thursdays at 8:00pm EST on 10/11, 10/15, 10/22, & 10/29
The 4 key components of a bellydance fitness class are music, counting, breakdown, and cueing. At the end of 4 weeks you will learn how to teach a movement block with all these components. (Intensive includes ebook)

Nia with Marisa
Sundays at 7:00pm EST on 10/4, 10/11, 10/18 & 10/25

October Workshops

Vegan Brunch Cook Along with Delilah
Saturday, October 17th at 1:00-2:00pm

Try your hand at some tasty and not too crazy vegan dishes. In this brunch time cook along we will swap out the scrambled eggs for a veggie loaded tofu scramble, and add another simple vegan side dish to pair. Pour a glass of your favorite Sunday mimosa or fresh fruit juice and try something new and fun in the kitchen

Salsa for Bellydancers with Ava (Guest Instructor)
Sunday, October 25th at 4:00-5:00pm, $27

Did you know that bellydance and salsa dance crossover? In this workshop you’ll learn spicy and sassy moves and patterns that you will recognize from bellydance and vice versa! You can wear flats, heels, or whatever you’re comfortable in. For all levels.

Art of the Tease with Mika Romantic (Guest Instructor)

Friday, October 30th at 8:00-9:00pm, $27

Learn to exude like Marilyn Monroe and tease with flare like Gypsy Rose Lee! Mika Romantic will school you in the elegant movements of the Hollywood starlets and Burlesque Legends who came before us. Think musical theater with more sex appeal and a little less technique! This class is ideal for beginners who just want to let loose and have fun and great for performers who want to add to their classic-burlesque-movement vocabulary.
