Amid Chaos and Division, You’ve Been There – Thank You!

This blog was prompted by a post I woke up to one morning that left me feeling so frustrated. While I won’t get into the details of the post, I want to focus on how I’m navigating these big emotions.

The news, politics, and this election season have been tough on me. The country feels more divided than ever, with debates on TV, our social media feeds, in our living rooms, and sadly, among friends. Being bombarded with opinions, heated conversations, and people unwilling to listen to each other has left me drained. Yet, I still feel the need to stay informed. It’s a balancing act, and it’s taken a toll on my mental and physical well-being.
But in the midst of all this, I’ve been trying to carve out time for myself, to step away from the noise and just breathe. And my SharQui community has been my refuge through it all.

Thank you everyone.

You know, at the start of all this chaos, I was genuinely worried. With so much division in the world, I was worried that people would leave. But to my surprise, not only did people stay, our community actually grew larger this past year.

Wow. Thank you.

I know that our community holds a wide range of views about what’s going on in the world, and yet you’ve all found time for yourselves without letting emotions dictate whether or not to join our dance floor. We’ve shared our feelings, our frustrations, our hopes, and through it all, I feel everyone has felt heard and without judgment. That’s a rare and beautiful thing these days, and it’s something I don’t take for granted. It simply shows that it’s possible, and that there’s hope for the rest of the world.

Again, thank you.

I’m not gonna lie – this election year will continue to challenge me. The debates, the news, the constant stream of opinions – they’re not going away. But amid all of that, I choose to dance. And I hope you do too.

Thank you again for being a part of my family.

With all of my heart, soul, and fire,
Oreet
