Talking to people & networking is such an underrated method of marketing but it’s the best thing to do if you are on a budget because if you have no money, what you do have is YOU.
If you are clear about who your ideal student is then think about where they are – at networking meetings, businesses where your ideal student works, businesses where your ideal student hangs out, etc.
Going there personally to talk to people is the best form of marketing you can do because it allows people to get to know you as a person, what your values are, and how you can help them.
Look…you already speak to people by teaching, so think of this as that you’re naturally built for networking because you already communicate with people through teaching classes. So, communication IS your biggest advantage.
My suggestion would be to start these conversations by offering how you can help their business FIRST, before asking for anything in return. It creates good vibes, and then they’re more likely to refer people to you in return, rather than you asking them to send you students.
Remember, we live in a “what’s in it for me” culture, so the more you can make it attractive for someone to work with you, the more likely they are to help you.
Make it a giving day my friend,
